Research Use Only & Product Use Policy

1. Research Use Only Status

All Aventris products are supplied strictly as Research Use Only (RUO) materials. They are not registered, approved, or evaluated as:

• Medicines, drugs, or therapeutic agents;
• Human or veterinary products;
• Foods, supplements, or cosmetics; or
• Diagnostic or clinical decision-making tools.

Aventris materials must never be administered to humans or animals and must not be used in any clinical, cosmetic, diagnostic, or therapeutic context.

2. Permitted Users & Legitimate Applications

Aventris supplies materials exclusively for legitimate laboratory research contexts conducted by qualified individuals or organisations operating under appropriate oversight.

Permitted applications include non-clinical laboratory activities such as:

• In vitro and analytical research;
• Assay development and validation;
• Reference and comparison standards;
• Method development and educational demonstration work.

Aventris does not assess or approve specific experimental designs or applications.

3. Prohibited Uses

The following uses are strictly prohibited:

• Administration to humans or animals by any route;
• Use in medical, therapeutic, cosmetic, or wellness contexts;
• Use in clinical trials or human experimentation;
• Use in diagnostic testing or clinical decision-making;
• Marketing or promoting materials with health-related claims.

Customers must not represent Aventris materials in any manner inconsistent with their Research Use Only status.

4. Customer Responsibilities

By purchasing from Aventris, customers confirm that they:

• Possess appropriate qualifications, facilities, and oversight;
• Operate under their own institutional, laboratory, or organisational SOPs;
• Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal requirements;
• Maintain secure control of materials to prevent unauthorised access or misuse.

Aventris does not supervise, direct, or control how materials are used after delivery.

5. Order Review, Refusal & Termination

Aventris reserves the right to review, refuse, cancel, or terminate orders or accounts at its discretion where there is reason to believe materials may be misused, diverted, or used inconsistently with this policy or applicable law.

No obligation exists to supply materials where misuse risk is identified.

6. No Endorsement or Validation

Aventris does not endorse, validate, or certify any experimental outcomes, methodologies, or interpretations derived from the use of its materials. All research outcomes and conclusions remain the sole responsibility of the user.

7. Relationship to Other Policies

This Product Use Policy operates alongside Aventris’ Legal Disclaimer, Terms of Service, and Privacy Policy. In the event of any inconsistency, the Legal Disclaimer shall prevail.
